Blue Potatoes

I heard that this particular variety is difficult to grow. How do I begin? Is it possible to save the seeds/eyes of the NL blue potato to plant in the spring? If so, how would I preserve them – freeze them, dry them, plant inside during the winter? These are my all-time favourite, and they are harder and harder to come by, for some reason!

I grew blue potatoes a couple of years ago, and they did about as well as any of my other potatoes. As for saving them, I believe the usual advice for potatoes should apply – I found a good guide here: http://heavenlyhomemakers.com/digging-up-and-storing-potatoes-for-the-winter
